Czeching for my Czeching into Czech

Hello, Howdy, Hey or Ahoy in Czech.

I'm James ,third year Theatre student at Falmouth university off to do what we call PIC ( Practice in context). This is my big module of third year, one that makes you go off and follow your own practice hence the name.I am off to the Czech republic to study with a scheme called Erasmus , yes i know weirdest place to pick #sofalmouth of me, but the University i am going out there with is incredibly good at giving students a diverse learning experience so i'm happy with my choice . I am aiming to experience how culture and theatre are directly related and how they can be transferred or understood across countries; weather that be through advertising, acting, language or establishment.

Now I'm not going to bore anyone with details upon details of research i may have or not have done for this project. I am primarily using this blog as a way to convey my feelings about said adventure and what I may come across while I'm out there,Yes I so pose that does mean I'll document uni work  ( But if i convince myself its not .. ill actually do it).I can however make some promises about my documenting.

1.I will not be writing about finding myself on this adventure (If i was going to do that i would have a few shots of tequila and spill my heart out to you....done that in Club I)
2.I will be most probably have to reference every now and again. (For my own sake of remembering)
3.I find spaces like this easier for me to write so i wont be that formal on here, i will definitely be writing how i speak as this is MY diary so to speak. ( sorry not sorry grammar police or English students that may stumble upon this)
4. I cant spell, write or type insanely hence the E in A-level English .spellcheck is my bestest friend.

I AM PURELY OUT TO ENJOY MYSELF, and here is where i will write about it.

So now all formal introductions are done. I have actually been preparing to fly for the past few months. signatures everywhere, booking , ringing , emailing , EMAILING more EMAILING. I have learned People start to ignore after the tenth email in four days, but who can blame someone for actually trying to get their shit together and be prepared to go abroad to study, to a country who's language isn't English, to a place where I've never been before... I mean who would want to be prepared. seriously ? ( Note sarcasm intended) I eventually got everything sorted in mid email breakdown.

I looked at past performances done around the Czech area what there advertising looks like for Theatre companies in general or how they communicate to tourists. I think im pretty much prepared on that part but in my mind i cant really start anything until im out there.so i have to see it for myself other than reviews or pictures on the internet.... sucks because most people have already started their own PICS and im sat here eating my nan out of house and home.

We fast forward a little bit and i'm three days to flying. writing this ! being told they don't know if someone is going to meet me at the airport any more..

So i've resorted to having wine, wine is a good answer for now. ive planned my journey learnt some Czech phrases and put everything into place its now onto the flight.

I'll be fine ( Im praying my cute English accent and charming smile will get people to help me)
Or I'll be living a real life Taken sequel.
